I have been drawn to home spaces for as long as I can remember. Antique stores, estate sales, the corners of other people's homes I couldn't stop looking at. There is something about the way a person builds their private world that I find endlessly fascinating. No one can tell you what to do in your own space. It is the one place where you are completely free from the world's opinions and completely accountable only to your own taste. That is rare. That is worth taking seriously.

I kept finding myself looking for things I couldn't locate anywhere. Objects that felt right. Specific in a way that most searches weren't returning. And I realized that if I was having trouble finding them, other people probably were too.

Quality has nothing to do with where something comes from. It has everything to do with what it is. Antique shopping taught me that. So did years of looking carefully at beautiful things. When I find a piece I genuinely love, I will find a way to bring it home. That instinct is what Altered Bloom is built on.
